It is easier to read, but do what you like for yourself. It is your blog, ya know?
Well, readability is pretty important. I'm not totally sold on the color scheme (yellow? ew.) but I think this is a step in the right direction.

See, now that's the sort of flexibility I like to see in writers. We can be such a staid. self-absorbed lot, ya know? I think the blog looks good.
