Am I the only one who writes with Thesaurus.com open in another window? Actually my vocabulary is not too shabby, thanks to a love of reading that I've had from a very young age. Somehow, though, I'm always searching for that perfect word...

You're always searching for that perfect word because you're a writer.
I have Webster's electronic version on my computer and keep it open while I write. I confess, mostly because I'm a lousy speller.
But I also have the tendency to come up with a word whose definition I can't recall, so I have to double check that it works.
See, I do the opposite! I have a definition in mind and can't remember the word that fits it!
When I need a spelling consult, I usually just punch it into Google. If I'm off Google will say "did you mean ____?"
